We start with a 40 grit belt sander and work the piece through 80 grit, 200, 400 sandpaper. The sandpaper gives it an even surface, ready for further softening.

The various wheels we use for polishing are infused with various grits as well. Their flexible bristles give the ring its soft curves and high shine. Each ring goes through 7 steps on the wheel, inside and out.
