HIDING PLACES:
These thickets of dense vines provide cover for birds, rabbits and other small animals. Its fruit is toxic to humans, but is an important source of food for many birds.
NATIVE INVASIVES:
Despite it being a natural part of the ecosystem from Central America up through Canada, it can sometimes be harmful to other vegetation. It has an ability to spread rapidly, grow vertically, and suffocate young trees and other plants.
