DESCRIPTION:
Small shrub with grey-green toothy leaves and purple flowers on spikes, the entire plant is highly aromatic.
ETYMOLOGY:
The word Lavender is thought to originate either from the the Latin word- lavare, which means “to wash,” and refers to infusions made from the plant, or from the word- livere, which means “blueish.” Whatever the origin, lavender is still prized for its color and scent.
