NATIONAL ARBORETUM:

We first encountered this tree at the National Arboretum in Washington DC. Overlooking the Anacostia river, the dogwoods in this collection start blooming in March and don’t quit until June. The collection features the:

  • European Cornelian Cherry (Cornus mas)

  • Flowering Dogwoods (Cornus florida) our east-coast native

  • Chinese Dogwood (Cornus kousa)

  • Mexican Flowering Dogwood - THE MAGIC ONE!

We made a short video to illustrate the process of sculpting these flowers, each pendant is unique just like the shapes on the real tree. Sculpting Dogwood Flowers
