Usually we don’t alter our plant castings, we mold and replicate nature exactly as it grows. But this rippled leaf that looks like coral was so cute we had to experiment with it.
These succulent leaves are thick, and far too heavy to wear when we cast them as they grow, so we cut out the center and cast the border. Then we polish the bronze castings to a high mirror shine.
